About me
I’m Oussama Hamama, a Moroccan journalist and photographer passionate about capturing heritage, architecture, and culture through my lens. A graduate of the Higher Institute for Media and Communications (ISIC) in audiovisual journalism, I began my journey with a love for storytelling, which gradually evolved into a deep dedication to photography.
My vision
My primary focus is architecture and heritage photography — documenting Morocco’s monuments, historical landmarks, and cultural sites to preserve their beauty and legacy. For me, photography is more than an image: it’s a bridge between the past and present, a way to inspire young people to discover the history of their country and connect with the cultural identity that shapes us all.

My work
Over the years, I have participated in exhibitions and cultural initiatives, including “Women in the City” (2023), organized by the Prometheus Institute for Democracy and Human Rights. In the same year, I represented Morocco at the Jeux de la Francophonie -Kinshasa 2023, competing in the photography contest. As part of this event, I exhibited a project created on location at the École des Beaux-Arts of Kinshasa, while my series on Moroccan architecture was showcased at the National Museum of Congo, offering an international audience two different perspectives of my work.
My lens has also covered major events in Morocco and abroad, while my photojournalism and artistic work continue to balance heritage preservation with creative storytelling.
My Approach
I work with both mobile and professional cameras, guided by the belief that the essence of photography lies not in the equipment but in the emotion and memory it captures. Each photograph is a way to keep history alive and beauty everlasting.
